Goal of Program

With the MikroTik v2 PC router system, PC builders will be able to produce high quality routers using standard PC parts and high speed data communications interfaces. The OEM router builder program is designed to assist PC assemblers (and networking companies which contract for PC routers to be built for them locally) to sell PC Routers in this high growth networking area.

Routers to be locally assembled to meet the customers needs and budget

Platform scalability
Examples of possibilities:
Flex-ATX with only one PCI slot and onboard 10/100, standard PC with 4 PCI / 2 ISA, rack-mounts with 12 PCI back-plane, compact PCI rackmounts

CPU power
Examples of possibilities:
low cost pentium for most Internet routing, PII/PIII/PIV for intensive routing, filtering, and bandwidth shaping on 100Mb/s+ networks

Hardware quality
Examples of possibilities:
lowest cost standard PCs, special air filters, dual power supplies, rackmounts…

Interface options
Examples of possibilities:
provide exactly the interfaces the customer needs and avoid the ‘out of the box’ router problem of having extra interfaces that the customer doesn’t want to pay for

Just in time manufacturing
Examples of possibilities:
systems made to order, low inventory, most up-to-date parts, possibility to give the best price to the customer

Qualification Guidelines

• Able to build, sell, and support private label PC Router systems [subcontracting assembly allowed]
• Ability to sell and support various networking interfaces
• Desired end user target markets are ISPs, small to medium size businesses, corporations, education, emphasis and Government entities or vertical-market sales
• Willing to participate in discussions covering trends in the market, competitive landscape, sales opportunities, new products, and make suggestions
• Marketing must include maintained web pages on products

Special OEM promotions

Local advertisements can be co-sponsored by MikroTik and the local OEM.

• For the first three months, 75% of all license fees can be used for approved advertising
• For the next three months, 50% of all license fees can be used for approved advertising
• Ad needs to have MikroTik name and minimum of 3 RouterOS features
• Credit made on receipt of documents - copy of add, copy of payment documents
